About IARPIC-2027

The Indian Association for Radiation Protection (IARP), established in 1968, has for over five decades served as the principal national forum for scientists, regulators, clinicians, and industry professionals engaged in the safe and beneficial use of ionizing radiation. The 36th IARP International Conference, IARPIC-2027, is jointly organized by the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), IARP, and the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL), and will be held from 10th to 13th February 2027 at the NPCIL Auditorium, BARC Colony, Anushaktinagar, Mumbai.

Themed "Radiation Protection in a Transforming World", IARPIC-2027 brings together researchers, radiation protection professionals, and policymakers from India and abroad to deliberate on emerging challenges and opportunities in the field, as nuclear science continues to expand its footprint across power generation, healthcare, and industry.

The conference will feature scientific sessions, invited talks, and contributed papers spanning key thematic areas including Radiation Protection in Emerging Nuclear Technologies, Radiation Safety and Protection in Nuclear Fuel Cycle Facilities, Radiation Safety and Protection in Accelerators, Medical, Industrial and Other Sectors, Radiation Dosimetry, Nuclear Instrumentation and System Development, Environmental Monitoring and Assessment, and Radiation Protection Philosophy, Risk Estimates and Regulatory Framework. IARPIC-2027 is envisioned as a premier platform to share the latest advances in radiation protection science and practice, and to foster collaboration among the national and international radiation protection community.
